effort over environment launch event
This past Friday night, we kicked off the first of our three-part in-person launch series at the Effort Over Environment Foundation. Our initiative, titled SEE, BELIEVE, ACHIEVE, is a special program created for its inaugural year, dedicated to empowering inner-city girls who aspire to pursue careers within the football industry.
The afternoon began with a heartfelt introduction from our founder, Esther Ope Elias, who shared her inspiring seven-year journey in football. Her story, filled with dedication and resilience, set the tone for the event, encouraging everyone in attendance to dream big.
Following this, we held an open discussion where attendees shared their personal experiences in the game and discussed their future aspirations within the football industry. It was a powerful moment of connection and exchange, highlighting the barriers and opportunities women face in the sport.
After a brief refreshment break, we hosted Iftar for some of our attendees, creating a space of community and inclusion for all.
The evening ended with the exclusive launch of our EOE Community Network. Our attendees were the first to gain access to this platform, designed to support, connect, and empower young women looking to make their mark in football.
